Paintings of the Maine Coon created entirely by an artificial intelligence (AI) computer

You may find these images surprising knowing that they were created entirely by a computer without any input other than asking the computer (in the first image) to create a 'realistic painting of a Maine Coon cat'. I think the computer did a very good job. It created the image in about 10 seconds with three others! All of them different.

Below is another painting by the same computer. I instructed it to create a painting of a Maine Coon cat in the Picasso style. I don't think this is quite as good because I do not think that the painting is in fact in the Picasso style 😉. I was looking for one of those classic Picasso paintings where the eyes and ears and mouth are all out of position with strong angular lines and black outlines. I have got something which is more like an impressionistic painting. Still good though.

And finally, below you will see the result of the same AI computer instructed to paint a Maine Coon cat in a surrealist style. I was looking for a Salvador Dali-type image which is not what I got! Despite that I think it's a very good result considering I simply input as a command: "surrealist painting of a Maine Coon cat". There was no other input whatsoever, just those words.

I hope that you find the results at least slightly interesting. The point is that artificial intelligence in computers is perhaps the biggest thing that is happening to the world right now. I can produce an article entirely written and illustrated by an artificial intelligence computer. 

I simply have to ask it to do it. It will be of good quality. In fact, it will be of better quality than very many articles on the Internet written by human authors.

Artificial intelligence is advancing very rapidly. It is happening behind the scenes. Sometimes you might be communicating with an artificial intelligence computer without realising it.

Clearly, this very smart computer understands in broad terms what a Maine Coon cat looks like. The muzzle is nice and square and in the realistic painting you can see the lynx tipped ears. And the ruff is there as well. Clearly, it's been programmed to understand what 'Maine Coon cat' means.

This would have happened by feeding it with hundreds of thousands of images of all kinds including pictures of Maine Coons.
